ABOUT

Dorset Snagging surveys conduct the most comprehensive inspection of your new home.

With over 30 years experience in construction and property industry we are experts at snagging properties and utilise specialist equipment to identify a wide variety of issues and present them in an efficient easy to understand format. We include photographic evidence for quick reference and clear identification of issue and location.

Snagging survey's are normally carried out before you exchange so you have a clear indication of any issues before you agree to a date to complete.

However we can also offer a full "ground up" service. We carryout fortnightly inspections from the moment the ground works begin right through to completion, issuing a progress report when each inspection is carried out together with photo's and a "Defects Tracker" this element of the report highlights any issues that are non compliant and ensure resolution is completed to adhere to building regulations.

Our snagging reports include photographs and a written description of every item and issued in pdf format, within 3-4 working days of the inspection, with a copy going to you and, if you request it, one directly to the developer or builder.

Once this process has begun we will be available to provide further support and advice to resolve any outstanding issues throughout the process.

We only work for private home buyers and do not have any contracts with the builders or housing developers so there are never any conflicts of interest.

Our reports will detail the quality of workmanship against applicable standards. It covers both the interior and the exterior of the property as well as garden, driveway and garage. (if relevant) Plus - Functionality tests to heating, hot water, drainage (visible elements), doors, lights, sockets. Whilst these items are tested and certified by the contractor, faults are often found.

Once the snagging report has been issued, we remain available by phone or email to provide you with ongoing support & advice.
